I must have broken up with Peter Capaldi's Doctor about five times now. I keep trying because it's Doctor Who and when Doctor Who is good it is the light of my life. Seriously, good Doctor Who brings me so much joy. But Twelve just isn't my Doctor. Ten was, and I really liked Eleven during the Pond era. Despite Moffat being... Moffat, the first time I really lost touch with Eleven was when Clara showed up. That's funny to me now because I really grew to like Clara towards the end, even though I only watched the show sporadically then. Anyway, all this is to say that I had given up on Twelve yet again, skipping the latest specials, but couldn't resist taking a peek at new Companion in action. I'll be honest: after watching the First Look trailer, I thought she would be horribly annoying. But nope, she's great! Really wonderful, actually. Turns out that was just a really, really bad First Look trailer. (I mean, it had Daleks. Daleks are most emphatically Not My Thing.) So for now Twelve and I are on again. Or should I say, Bill and I are on? Either way, I look forward to the next episode. (Note to self: figure out if it's necessary to catch up with the specials to understand what's up with the vault storyline.)

You know what else happened? Legion happened. I caught some buzz on ye olde Twitter timeline and thought hmm, best check that out. You guys, I knew nothing, I was completely unprepared. I didn't even know it was an X-Men show! I mean I got an inkling at the end of the first episode, but by then my mind had already been blown to confused little bits. I stuck with it though, and it didn't get any less weird, but having finished it a couple of days ago, I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. What a bizarre yet awesomely executed piece of TV.

Snow It snowed a few days ago and then again all day yesterday. Everything is white and beautiful and the birdhouse on my balcony is seeing a lot of action. My love for snow is great and I couldn't be happier.

Merlin I gather one of the creators more or less confirmed Arthur and Merlin's epic gay love for each other by way of DVD commentary? Squee! Not that this makes up for years of heartache, but. That's really very nice. :D

Haven One day I will devote an entire entry to telling you how much I love that show and my OT3 and the cast, and you won't know what hit you for all the squee and capslock. This is my advance apology.

Lost Girl My silly guilty pleasure show is back! Oh Kenzi, how I have missed you. She's adorable to the max. ♥ So far I like the new addition to the cast and even Lauren seems to be growing on me, miracle of miracles.

Fringe RIP, show. I remember how it took me some time to get into at the beginning but I stuck with it and then it got really good. It hasn't quite kept up that level of awesome but Fringe has always been a good time in one way or another, and I'll miss all the characters. I can only hope Anna Torv gets another show because she's gorgeous and I'd miss her face, and smile, and hair, especially when it's dyed red, just saying.

Last Resort I can't even tell you how nervous I am about the finale this week. They canceled this show early on but I have no idea if they got to end things properly or if we're going to be left hanging. All I know is that it's going to be intense either way, meep. My body isn't ready.

Health My health woes are still unresolved and it's getting to me. If you have some good thoughts to spare I'd appreciate it.

DOCTOR WHO STUFFS )

Very unimpressed with that whole hiatus business. After next week's cliffhanger of all things! Such cruel and unusual punishment for enjoying both of your shows, Moffat. The next Sherlock episodes better be extra awesome.

» Thanks for pimping the Bradley/Colin Prompt Fest LIKE A BOSS, everyone! I added a master list of prompts and fills yesterday and just updated it. So many brilliant fills alreadyyy. \o/ I also added a note for artists that is worth repeating: there's no need to feel shy. Even if a prompt doesn't ask for art specifically, if it inspires you, go for it! Perhaps your fill will inspire a writer in turn. Ooh, or you could illustrate a fill; leave art as a prompt, even! So many possibilities. \o/

» The Human Target finale was badass. I have so much love for every single character on that show and the writing and the stunts, I can't even. Guerrero is so my favorite, in that 'he kind of scares me, I'm not physically attracted to him, but I need him in my pants right the hell now' way. Guerrero, king of BAMFs, y/y? (For the record, if FOX cancels this show, I will cry an entire OCEAN of tears.)

» Colin's play, Our Private Life, opened yesterday! myfoolisheart posted some super cute pictures of Colin to her Tumblr (#1, #2, #3, #4) and there's a brief report here.

» I started working on this year's [livejournal.com profile] merlinbb_rpf and oh, that feels good. Next up: [livejournal.com profile] merlin_archives. RL has been a right bitch for months and every time I wanted to get back into it something else happened and I was seriously losing my mind, I felt so guilty. NO MORE. I'm tackling this and if it kills me. >:|

» Please tell me you love Human Target as much as I do. The show is pure, testosterone filled goodness. The writing is solid, the characters snarky and likable (amazingly I count Guerrero among them; tiny, scary but likable) and very sexy action/fight scenes. When they introduced the girls this season I was a bit skeptical but OMGILSA♥. So um, that worked out nicely. AAH LOVELOVELOVE.

» And now I must stop F5ing [livejournal.com profile] kinkme_merlin and start coding the newsletter. *...F5!* I MEAN. *codes!*
